Logos

Good day mate!

My main inspiration for these Australian themed logos is the bitter cold winter that we students here at BYU-Idaho are going through. Also, who doesn’t want to be in Australia during November?

First, I had two initial ideas. The first was a create prestigious alphabet for any company dealing with initials. The second was the idea of different animals and items from Australia.

I scanned in my drawings into illustrator and began the design. The kangaroo and sharks were scanned in and readjusted by deleting plenty of anchor points. However, the boomerangs and mountains were all designed using the shapes in Adobe Illustrator.

I readjusted the ears of the kangaroo to be more forward to have in a more forward direction. I chose soft colors that reflects the warm Australian climate.

Next, I increased the width of stripes on each of the boomerangs. I then placed each pair of stripes on the sides of each of the boomerangs where you would hold it to hurl it in the air!

The sharks were quite difficult to design. I looked at about 30 different pictures of sharks to understand how to properly place the gills, fins, and tail.

If you take note, I designed two different types of sharks and changed each of their colors and shapes just slightly. I compiled the boomerangs, sharks, and kangaroos in 6 separate boxes.

Each image is recognizable from a distance and represents Australia as a whole. These logos are simple and easy to brand.
